We do this through a mix of delivery teams, operations functions, and corporate shared services like Architecture, End-to-End Test and Security. BE PART OF THE CONNECTION The Software Engineer VI will work with technical teams to create software solutions that use prevailing technologies and improve the customers' experience while adhering to business and technical requirements. Develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems designed to support business initiatives. WHAT OUR SOFTWARE ENGINEER VI ENJOY MOST Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Participate in the design of dependent systems, e.g., APIs, data stores, CI/CD Pipelines. Design and implement new functionality that is testable and performant with minimal oversight. Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel. Understand the organization's vision and goals and help create the roadmap. Analyze and evaluate market products, identifying pros and cons. Keep up to date on technical and industry standards. Develop software independently, overcoming roadblocks proactively. Lead RCA activities for escaped defects. Resolve system integration issues. Manage critical production hotfixes. Prioritize work effectively, meet timelines, and deliver multiple tasks. Close technical debts and visualize roadmaps. Provide LOE for projects and features. Document technical requirements and designs. Handle release branches and deployment artifacts. Enforce code standards and best practices. Identify performance improvements and enhance application scalability and resilience. Collaborate across teams to solve technical problems. Present projects/features to leadership and business stakeholders. Mentor junior developers and participate in interviews. Build effective relationships within and outside the team. Provide technical consulting and SME support. WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM Required Qualifications Experience in database management systems (4-6+ years) Experience in coding, testing, and designing software (4-6+ years) Experience with software development methodologies (4-6+ years) BA/BS in IT, CS, or related field or equivalent experience Technical skills: Proficiency in a major programming language Knowledge of coding syntax, functions, and object-oriented patterns Experience with Docker, container runtimes, cloud-native development Understanding of APIs, data stores, and system dependencies Design patterns and architecture knowledge Skills: Proficient in one major programming language Experience with microservices, SOA, monolith, anti-patterns Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Strong documentation and communication skills Abilities: Effective problem-solving skills Ability to work with minimal instruction and meet deadlines Excellent documentation and presentation skills Travel & Schedule Office environment Full-time position Preferred Skills Experience in telecom, Salesforce, or related fields Knowledge of Salesforce configurations, APIs, and integration Experience with Agile methodology, data migration, and routing rules SPECTRUM CONNECTS YOU TO MORE Innovative tools & tech Growth opportunities Supportive teams and inclusive culture Total rewards and benefits Apply now, connect a friend, or sign up for job alerts!
