Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments as necessary. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals. Familiar with a variety of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under the supervision of a senior or lead electrical engineer. A modest degree of creativity is required.
SCOPE OF POSITION:Reports to: Lead engineering staff.Supervises: NoneSignature Authorities: None.Level of Interaction: Interacts with the project's technical lead, group leaders, senior engineers, machinists, electronic/mechanical technicians, and administrative assistants.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Electrical Engineering. Abilities, Knowledge, and Skills: NSS currently maintains two "tracks" for electrical engineers, including the microwave track and the digital circuit track. These tracks are characterized as follows:

One to three (1 – 3) years of applicable experience in a related field.
