Job Title: Product Manager - RF and AWG Portfolio
Job Overview:
As a Product Manager for Tektronix's RF and AWG portfolio, you will lead the product lifecycle for both hardware and software solutions. You will drive strategic product direction, market positioning, and business results through deep customer insights and technical expertise. A successful Product Manager integrates domain expertise with curiosity and uses a unique blend of business acumen, technical knowledge, and market understanding to develop, launch, and manage innovative solutions that empower our customers' success.
Location: This position is located at Tektronix headquarters in Beaverton, OR. Exceptions may apply for the right candidate.
Travel: Up to 25% for customer meetings, conferences, tradeshows, internal events.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Product Leadership:
Own the complete product lifecycle from discovery and ideation through development, launch, and ongoing portfolio management
Develop and execute a compelling product roadmap for RF and AWG product lines aligned with market trends, customer needs, and company strategy
Define and prioritize product requirements based on customer insights, competitive analysis, and business objectives
Manage product line business results
Customer & Market Expertise:
Engage directly with customers to gain deep understanding of workflows, pain points, and unmet needs
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats
Serve as the voice of the customer within the organization, translating customer needs into product development opportunities
Develop and communicate compelling value propositions and positioning that clearly articulate the unique benefits of Tektronix solutions
Cross-functional Leadership:
Partner closely with engineering teams throughout the development process, ensuring products meet technical requirements and quality standards
Collaborate with marketing to deliver effective go-to-market strategies, sales enablement content, and promotional activities
Work with sales teams to drive product adoption, provide technical training and support, and collect customer feedback
Build strong relationships across the organization to align resources and drive product success
Product Innovation & Development:
Drive innovation in the RF and AWG portfolio through deep understanding of technology trends and customer applications
Lead product discovery activities to identify new opportunities and validate concepts
Oversee development processes, ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards
Balance technical feasibility, market needs, and business constraints to make sound product decisions
Business Performance Management:
Track and analyze product performance metrics against business objectives
Identify opportunities for growth, cost optimization, and margin improvement
Develop business cases for new products and features
Manage product lifecycle decisions including EOL strategies for legacy products
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred
5+ years of related technical role experience.
Potential past roles: Product Management, Product Marketing, RF Business Development, RF Applications Engineering, RF Engineering and Test
Foundational understanding of RF technologies, standards and instrumentation
Demonstrated success in working cross-functionally to deliver complex hardware and software products
Experience with product discovery, product definition and roadmap development
Experience with market analysis, competitive intelligence, and product positioning
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Pay Range
The salary range for this position in local currency is 126700.00 - 235300.00
