Plans, organizes, coordinates and manages the social work services of an operational unit or directs a social work program of limited scope and complexity; and performs other duties as required. This position is located in the First Circuit, Client Services Division, Juvenile Client Services Branch. The primary function of this section is to screen, investigate and dispose of referrals of situations of law violations, legal custody, protective supervision and other types of referrals; provide counseling and other necessary related services to minors and their parents coming under the jurisdiction of the Court. The purpose of this position is to plan, direct, control, coordinate and evaluate the operational activities of the Diversion Unit and Youth Family Resource Center / Pulama `Ia Na Liko; and provide consultation, supervision and training to subordinate probation officers, special probation officers, para-professionals, volunteers and clerical workers if assigned to the unit.
