Description:

Support development and mentoring for an undergraduate biocultural internship course at a community-based agroforestry restoration site in Heeia, Oahu. Assist with care (including planting, weeding and watering) and research (including vegetation, soil, and social surveys). Help plan and carry out community work days and cultural workshops. Lead and contribute to communication of project outcomes and progress. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in botany. Proficiency in Olelo Hawaii and knowledge of biocultural dimensions of native and canoe plants. Experience working with Native Hawaiian led organizations and with Native Hawaiian agroforestry systems. Excellent skills in oral and written communication.
