Assist the Principal Investigator in conducting research and provide analytical support for battery thermal dummy cell project. This includes assembly of custom-made heating pads, the coding of a control interface for the thermal dummy cell to behave like a real battery, and the coupling with a thermal battery model to replicate the temperature variations measurable in real cells. The research assistant will be expected to be trained in EHSO laboratory safety, plan and conduct materials development experiments, perform characterization techniques, and report the finding in a publication style report. Minimum Qualifications:Must be a degree-seeking graduate student (Masters or PhD) admitted to or registered in a graduate program at UH Manoa in chemistry, mechanical or electrical engineering or related field of study.
