Groundskeeper

As a member of the Facilities department, you will help to ensure that REHAB patients and their families receive caring and dedicated service at REHAB. The Groundskeeper assists with a variety of groundskeeping services requiring manual work. These services include maintaining the appearance and condition of hospital grounds and landscaping.

Starting Wage: $14.00/hr. The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of gardening.
• Ability to follow verbal and written on-the-job assignments and instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English to co-workers and staff.
• Ability to safely and effectively perform assigned duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work experience in gardening, landscaping, sprinkler repairs/service and light maintenance.

Equipment, Tools, Work Aids Used:

Gas mowers, lawn vacuum, weed trimmers, hedge trimmers, chain saw, demolition hammer, post-hole digger, fence stretcher, high pressure washer, shovel, hoe, hose, insecticides, fertilizers, basic hand tools, and battery hand tools. Computer, printer, 2-way radio, FAX and copy machine. Forms, records and logs.
