Job Details

Performs a variety of custodial and housekeeping duties, maintains desired standards of cleanliness, sanitation and appearance throughout the entire hospital in all patient zone areas, Dining areas, administration buildings, internal and external environments. Leads cleaning activities in assigned areas. Includes being able to use and maintain cleaning tools, equipment, understand chemical usage and storage. Be able to determine defects and repairs needed during routine tasks and submits timely maintenance requests. Be able to communicate inventory levels for all department supplies and materials. Use of computers to relay this information is highly desirable. Understands the importance of handling, transporting and disposal of trash, regulating medical waste, hazardous waste and soiled linens. Using signs and other safety precausions including PPE, understanding SDS, utilizing proper lifting, pushing and pulling to avoid injury to self or others at all times.
