About The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC): The ARC is a no-fee program to assist men and women in completing our rehabilitation program. We appreciate the contributions of our employees towards maintaining and improving the programs.

PAY RATE: $14.00/hr

About Our Retail Team: Join our dedicated Retail Team at The Salvation Army! Help serve and impact our community through our Waipahu Thrift Store, supporting the Adult Rehabilitation Program. This role involves promoting a positive shopping and donor experience, customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and donors, providing prompt and courteous assistance.
• Stock and merchandise items on the sales floor.
• Maintain store and donation area cleanliness and organization.
• Follow POS/Cash Register Policies and safety standards.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock inventory accurately.
• Inspect products for defects and damages.
• Assist donors with item removal and provide receipts.
• Sort donations and stack materials as instructed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate POS/Cash Register accurately
• Pass background check (including Criminal and Sex Offender Registry)
• Effective communication skills

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist.
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive motions
• Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Schedule: Stores operate 7 days a week. Flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

COVID-19 Policy: Compliance with safety measures, including vaccination and exemptions for religious or medical reasons.
