This role involves processing payroll, maintaining accurate payroll records, and ensuring compliance with AlohaCare policies and relevant contracts. The Payroll Processor will work closely with the Payroll Lead to develop skills and ensure payroll accuracy and efficiency.Primary Duties & Responsibilities-Self-DirectionAssist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all Self-Direct provider/employees, ensuring accuracy of approved timesheets and proper tracking of garnishments and other special payroll deductions.Maintain Self-Direct Employee/Employer records, ensuring timely updates and compliance with federal/state/local regulations.Support the payroll coordination efforts between Service Coordination, QUEST Integration members, Self-Direct Providers, and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.Assist in preparing monthly mail-outs including checks, missing documents, and timesheets as requested.Provide necessary documents to Coordinators and ensure timely communication with members under the supervision of the Payroll Lead.Run various reports and maintain Excel spreadsheets associated with Self-Direct payroll under the guidance of the Payroll Lead.Assist in tracking and maintaining member assessments and eligibility monthly, utilizing Excel spreadsheets.Respond to member, caregiver, and other inquiries via e-mail, telephone, or walk-in while supporting AlohaCare's corporate core values in all interactions.Collaborate with the Payroll Lead to identify areas for process improvement and to enhance overall payroll efficiency.Participate in training and development opportunities provided by the Payroll Lead to enhance knowledge and skills in payroll processing.Other related duties as may be assigned by the Assistant Controller-Financial Operations.Responsible to maintain AlohaCare's confidential information in accordance with AlohaCare policies, and state and federal laws, rules and regulations regarding confidentiality. Employees have access to AlohaCare data based on the data classification assigned to this job title.Required QualificationsMinimum of High School Diploma or equivalent experience.At least one year of experience in payroll processing or similar administrative functions.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft programs.Strong customer service skills, with a focus on conflict management and resolution.Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience or knowledge of Medicaid and Self-Directed Personal Care Payroll concepts.Demonstrated understanding of the concepts of Health/Care Coordination within the managed care field.Ability to deal with challenging providers, members, and family members in person or over the phone and while supporting AlohaCare's corporate core values in all interactions.Familiarity with payroll software and systemsPhysical Demands/Working ConditionsRequires operation computer workstation, including keyboard and video display terminal.Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
