This is a regular, full-time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the College of Social Sciences, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, at the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center (NDPTC), located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Telework may be permissible subject to review and approval. Continuation of employment depends on program needs, work performance, funding, and legal compliance.
Duties
Provides leadership and oversight to the Center's course development staff, collaborates on strategic planning, manages budgets, and oversees curriculum development following the CORE process. Acts as the main contact for content providers, SMEs, instructors, and staff. Manages needs assessments, coordinates course development documents, and ensures quality control. Leads pilot course deliveries, manages instructional staff, and provides reports to leadership. Participates in research, outreach, and collaboration activities.
Primary Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in curriculum design, training management, and needs assessments.
Knowledge: Disaster cycle, environmental disaster planning, disaster management policies, curriculum design, and contract management.
Skills and Abilities: Proficient in project management, curriculum development, stakeholder negotiation, and team leadership.
