This is a hands-on leadership role that combinespeople leadership, operational strategy, and continuous improvement. Key Accountabilities
The following accountabilities define the core responsibilities and expected outcomes for this role.
- Operations Execution & Readiness
- Own the end-to-end readiness and execution of daily operations across scheduling, supply, vehicles, equipment, facility, and field crew deployment to safely deliver responsive and efficient services to ultimately deliver on customer demands
- Establish and oversee a daily operational rhythm (e.g., operations meetings, production meetings, morning rallies) to ensure effective communication, accountability, and follow-through across teams.
- When operational issues or breakdowns occur, define and drive systematic solutions ensuring root causes are addressed, processes are improved, and lessons are shared across teams to prevent recurrence and strengthen operational resilience.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, manage, and develop the field and operations support teams by fostering a one-team culture, providing clear direction, setting performance standards, and proactively addressing team and interpersonal issues to ensure alignment and success.
- Ensure the right people are in the right seats across field and operations support teams by continuously evaluating team fit based on performance, alignment with responsibilities, core values, and their capacity taking timely action to coach, reposition, or rehire as needed to sustain a high-performing, mission-driven team.
- Serve as the escalation point and problem-solver for operational issues that may impact service delivery proactively identifying risks, resolving breakdowns, and driving continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Monitor operational compliance with federal & state laws (e.g. DOT, EPA, DOH, DOL) and company policies and incorporate them into operational procedures.
- Oversee job safety processes, ensuring the requirements are met, and identifying any safety process improvements.
- Ensure processes are compliant with relevant regulations and standards, adapting to changes in legal and industry requirements.
- Strategic Operations Leadership ()
- Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production needs effectively, efficiently, and competitively. Collaborate with senior management to align operational support with overall business objectives.
- Strategically plan field crew resource readiness, including forecasting skill needs, defining hiring requirements, and aligning training timelines, to meet production demands. Lead and hold HR and the Safety & Training Manager accountable for hiring, onboarding, and safety and skills training.
- Lead and manage the Procurement Manager to ensure relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external partners meet the company's standards for quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Hold accountability for effective negotiation of vendor contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms.
- Leverage a deep understanding of daily operating processes to guide the selection, implementation, and use of technology and data systems (e.g., fleet, warehouse, scheduling) that support and enhance operations. Use data to investigate issues, triangulate root causes, and drive solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and service delivery.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in business, operations, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations or field services.
- 5+ years of experience managing field crews and cross-functional operations.
- Strong track record of team leadership and talent development.
- Familiarity with compliance in regulated industries (EPA, OSHA, DOT, etc.).
- Experience in managing and operating operational systems and technology (ERP, scheduling, fleet management).
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OneDrive).
