ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting and finance department
• Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close, consolidated financial statements, budgeting, GET filings, and external audits
• Ensure full compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control policies
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting systems, policies, and procedures
• Lead, mentor, and supervise accounting staff, including assigning projects and ensuring timely, accurate completion
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions
• Partner with the CFO on forecasting, risk management, and long-term financial planning
• Perform other related duties as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years managing a team of 5 or more staff
• Credentials: CPA and prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience strongly preferred
• Industry Background: Experience in retail and/or manufacturing a plus
• Systems: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus
