The State Director of Community & Civic Engagement leads statewide teen programming efforts as it relates to Civic Engagement for the YMCA of Honolulu. This role involves the general administration and strategic direction of civic engagement and teen initiatives, with a focus on leadership development, civic engagement, and global service learning among teens. As the top administrative role, responsibilities include but are not limited to program development, quality control, budgeting, expense management, and partnership cultivation. The Director is also responsible for data management and the administration of the YMCA's statewide programs, such as Youth and Government and Junior Leaders.
This position is essential for developing teen initiatives on a local, statewide, and national scale to promote leadership, civic engagement, and positive community impact. Reporting to the Senior Program Director of Teen Programs, the Director will work collaboratively with other leaders to fulfill the Association's mission and enhance community relations.
