Under the supervision of the Construction Manager, the Project Coordinator performs a wide variety of administrative and coordination duties related to all aspects of the Construction Team. The Project Coordinator provides support to project supervisors, construction managers, engineering personnel, and subcontractors, as well as assisting in the development of technical documents such as SOWs, RFPs, ROMs, technical volumes, and project field assessments. The role involves project planning, managing the submittal register, assisting in obtaining permits, performing procurement support, and other preconstruction activities. The Project Coordinator tracks projects, costs, schedules, and performance throughout the project lifecycle, and provides document control. They are also responsible for producing and submitting various project, compliance, and operational reports.

Responsibilities

  • Involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation through close-out.
  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and maintain positive relationships.
  • Coordinates site visits, inspections, and meetings with subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Attends project meetings, prepares agendas, takes minutes, and distributes final meeting notes.
  • Develops and produces documents to support project completion.
  • Participates in preconstruction planning including schedule development, submittal registry, risk register, and permit requirements.
  • Tracks submittals, reporting, surveys, permits, schedules, and budgets.
  • Supports procurement activities as directed.
  • Monitors project productivity, performance metrics, and compliance.
  • Prepares and submits project and operational reports.
  • Prepares and distributes communication to clients, management, and stakeholders.
  • Manages document control, filing, and distribution of project documents.
  • Ensures project files are current and handed over upon project closeout.
  • Conducts project closeout activities.
  • Contributes to continuous process improvements.
  • Adheres to safety standards and promotes safety culture.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a related field; Bachelor's preferred.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Must obtain a CAC or DBIDS Card and pass background checks.
  • US citizenship and a valid US driver's license required.
  • 3-5+ years of construction or project management experience.
  • Knowledge of project management, construction processes, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with data collection, technical writing, and supporting DOD construction is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills, including MS Office and project management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of contract support in a military environment and project scheduling tools.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and international perspective.
