Job Description
The technician supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video circuits, and logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
Responsibilities
Required Skills:
Ability to debug, rework, repair, and test system motherboards.
Proficiency with electrical test equipment and instrumentation such as:
Oscilloscopes
DMM
Bus analyzers, PCIe, SPI, I2C, I3C, SVID, etc.
Logic Analyzers
Power Supplies
Electronic Loads
FW Download devices
Bring-up and test new PCB prototypes.
Build up new servers and prototypes for test teams.
Knowledge of server architecture and experience with debugging the following subsystems:
CPU/Multi-CPU
VRDs/HPC/EFUSE/PSUs
Memory DIMM
Micro-controllers
FPGAs
General Logic
Add-in Cards, I/O and GPU.
Bus switches
Bus re-timers and re-drivers
FLASH
HDD, SSD
System buses: PCIe, I2C, I3C, eSPI, SVID, GPIO, JTAG, etc.
PCB and cabling
Ability to use a solder Iron to perform delicate rework on high density PCBs.
Wire adds
Cuts/Isolation
Part swaps of RES/Cap and certain ICs
Preferred skills:
Experience with Intel or AMD architecture is a plus.
Experience with PCIe attached GPUs is a plus.
Proficient in the flow of CAD design tools such as Cadence, Concept, Allegro.
Proficiency in SW scripting is also a plus.
Associates degree in electronics technology with 4-6 years of experience is a must with a strong background in Digital and Analog circuitry.
Must be able to lift 35 lbs.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $30.29 to $60.63 per hour; from: $63,000 to $126,100 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
