One of Hawaii's largest healthcare companies is seeking a System Engineer to join their Server team. The ideal candidate will have experience with enterprise backup administration, VMware, and Linux. Preferred backup tools include Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, Cohesity, etc.

**This client is a hospital organization, so the candidate must be vaccinated, pass a 2-step TB test, and a 10-panel drug test.**

JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides infrastructure support for systems of moderate complexity, as assigned.
2. Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues with infrastructure hardware and data center software.
3. Supports and assists the IT Department in developing sound practices and solutions for infrastructure issues.
4. Serves as a Tier 1 escalation point for infrastructure-related issues.
5. Collects data from performance and uptime monitoring tools.
6. Installs, configures, tests, and maintains operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
7. Creates and maintains documentation related to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.

Additional Skills:

Veritas, VMware, Linux Red Hat, Windows Server, PowerShell, Automation.

This role will start fully on-site but may transition to a hybrid model. There is a rotation for on-call duty every 3-4 weeks, during which the employee will work on-site 5 days a week. Parking is not included but can be subsidized at $110/month near Punchbowl campus.

Pay and Benefits:

The salary range is $80,000 - $104,000 per year.
