Job Description

AECOM has an immediate need for a middle level Project Manager (PM III) to support our Environmental Remediation projects in Hawaii and Guam. This position is based in Honolulu, with flexibility for remote candidates on the mainland. The role involves managing multiple large-scale remediation projects, working with AECOM teams and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have experience managing environmental remediation projects of $1 million or more, including Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, and Remedial Actions, particularly in the Federal sector. A minimum of a BS in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science, along with relevant experience, is required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing complex projects involving clients with a national footprint or projects requiring a full spectrum of environmental services.
  • Overseeing all project phases from initiation to closeout.
  • Obtaining necessary permits and approvals.
  • Managing other Project Managers.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field, with 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • US Citizenship for access to DoD sites.
  • Ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
  • Successful completion of background and motor vehicle record checks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain DBID pass for federal military installations.
  • Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER and Supervisor certifications.
  • Experience with CERCLA, environmental assessments, remediation, and risk analysis.
  • Effective communication skills, including client presentations.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional registration is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical report writing.
  • Knowledge of Hawaii Department of Health regulations and extensive DOD experience in Hawaii and Guam.
  • Experience in project estimation and client interactions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with field work possibly required.
