Description:

Under the direction of the Section Manager and/or Supervisor, the position is responsible for accurate processing and reporting of trust payables, receivables, new and terminating accounts, securities settlement and custody, document preparation and review, records management, and trust system maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day account administration activities, including deposits and withdrawals of cash and assets, transaction balancing, and interface functions. Ensure accurate and timely account activities and maintain current information on the trust system.
  • Administer accounts in accordance with policies, laws, regulations, and governing documents. Respond to client requests promptly. Handle operational requirements independently. Complete memos, reports, and correspondence. Track delinquencies and collaborate with Trust Officers for resolution. Review documentation for compliance.
  • Assist and train Trust Officers and Trust Specialists in processing accounting and securities transactions for trust and custody accounts.
  • Perform complex processing independently, research issues, resolve problems, and follow up to ensure client satisfaction and prevent recurrence.
  • Help establish and maintain department policies and procedures. Participate in testing system updates and process improvements.
  • Provide backup support to other department staff and ensure workflow continuity.
  • Coordinate projects, conduct research, analyze, recommend, develop plans, and ensure implementation. Stay informed of policies, laws, and regulations. Attend training and develop skills.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least three years of experience in financial services preferred.
  • Proficiency in PC/software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Strong communication, research, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
