Job Summary

The College of Education at the University of Hawai?i Manoa (UH) is seeking an Academic Program Specialist to support our Private School Leadership graduate program, which is dedicated to serving students, families, and educators of Hawai?i. This position will play a key role in assisting Private School Leadership Masters students with conceptualizing, organizing, and creating their Capstone Projects for their degrees.

The Departments of Educational Foundations (EDEF) and Educational Administration (EDEA) are looking for candidates with experience and expertise in graduate-level writing, especially those who can provide effective feedback that promotes learning and equitable education practices.

Responsibilities

• Support students in completing their Capstone Projects by providing guidance on conceptualization, organization, scope, and academic conventions.
• Serve as a resource for student inquiries, concerns, and academic challenges, offering solutions and referrals as needed.
• Work under the supervision of a University faculty member to ensure students meet graduate-level learning objectives.
• Collaborate with field-based partner advisors to provide comprehensive support tailored to individual student needs.
• Respond to student questions and drafts within a timeframe of 48-72 hours for basic questions and 6-9 days for drafts.
• Maintain and report hours worked and complete required University trainings.
