Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Director to oversee and lead large-scale projects in the commercial construction and hospitality sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of large-scale commercial and hospitality construction projects.

• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.

• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet project objectives.

• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Estimating and Bidding:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for large commercial and hospitality projects.

• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to accurately determine project costs.

• Develop and submit competitive bids, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for.

• Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential project risks.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor project managers, site supervisors, and other project team members.

• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.

• Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Client Relations:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

• Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects that meet or exceed expectations.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred or significant work experience in construction estimating and project management.

• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on commercial and hospitality projects.

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable, but not required.

• LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation is a plus.

• Proven experience in construction estimating and bidding on large projects.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS, Excel, Project, etc.).

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

• This position involves working in various environments, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
• The role requires physical activity, including lifting, bending, and working in potentially hazardous conditions.
• Travel to job sites is required, and availability for emergency response situations may be necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type:Full-time

Pay: $70-90k annually, DOE; with potential commission incentives
