The contractor will provide support to the design, planning, execution, and assessment of campaigns consisting of multiple operations, activities, and investments (OAIs) in alignment with USINDOPACOM and various joint and component commands. The focus will be on integrating operational arts, operational planning, and understanding the changing character of conflict to drive comprehensive and effective military campaigns. The Operational Planner will support a wide range of commands, including Joint Task Forces (JTF), Theater Joint Maritime Component Command (TJMCC), Theater Joint Force Land Component Command (TJFLCC), Theater Joint Force Air Component Command (TJFACC), Theater Special Operations Command (T-SOC), and MARFORPAC, to meet strategic and operational objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Campaign Planning and Execution: Support the design, planning, execution, and assessment of complex campaigns and OAIs that support the objectives of USINDOPACOM, JTFs, and various theater-level commands. Ensure the integration of operations across all domains (land, air, sea, and special operations) within the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) structure.
• Operational Art and Planning: Apply the principles of operational art and operational planning to develop comprehensive campaign plans that address both current and future operational needs. Incorporate strategic, operational, and tactical perspectives to ensure seamless transitions between phases of operations.
• Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams from USINDOPACOM, TJMCC, TJFLCC, TJFACC, T-SOC, and MARFORPAC to ensure the synchronization and integration of efforts across all components. Facilitate effective coordination among military services, interagency partners, and multinational forces.
• Analysis and Assessment: Conduct detailed analysis of operations and environments, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities to optimize operational effectiveness. Continuously assess ongoing operations and provide recommendations for adjustments based on evolving mission requirements and emerging threats.
• Strategic Guidance: Provide expert advice and guidance on operational planning, particularly in addressing the changing character of conflict in the Indo-Pacific region. Use knowledge of regional dynamics to shape campaign plans that are adaptive and responsive to the operational environment.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with ongoing campaigns and operations, propose mitigation strategies to ensure the success of operational objectives. Prepare contingency plans for a variety of operational scenarios.
• Training and Development: Assist in the development and delivery of training materials and exercises designed to prepare MAGTF and associated commands for operational success. Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to junior planners and other team members.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and deliver clear, concise reports, briefings, and documentation for senior leadership, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are informed of operational progress, risks, and results.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Master's degree. Will consider a bachelor's degree OR 10+ years of operations planning experience at MAJCOM, Combatant Command or equivalent.
• Demonstrated understanding of Marine Corps Planning Process and the Research, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation (RPIE) public planning process.
• Five to 10 years of experience with USMC MAGTF Planning.
• In-depth knowledge of operational planning, communication synchronization, service and joint doctrine, and Marine Corps componence issues.
• Advanced proficiency with using Microsoft applications such as Excel, Teams, Words, Power Pt., etc.
• Possess a working knowledge of the Pacific theater, and an understanding of the relationships and general interactions between each nation.

• Familiarity with the structure and operations of USINDOPACOM, JTFs, TJMCC, TJFLCC, TJFACC, T-SOC, and MARFORPAC.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex operational scenarios and provide actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Travel may be required.
• Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
• Qualification as an authorized company driver is required.
• All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

• A TS/SCI Clearance is required for this position.

ESTIMATED COMPENSATION

• $120,000 - $160,000.00
