The Legal Aid Society of Hawaiʻi is Hawaiʻi's oldest and largest non-profit public interest law firm with 11 offices and over 100 staff members statewide. Through its dedicated staff, Legal Aid helps ensure justice and fairness for all by providing civil legal aid to the most vulnerable in our society.

The Director of Finance reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with the Executive and Deputy Director to oversee the financial health of the organization. Responsibilities include developing and implementing financial strategies, planning, ensuring compliance with regulations, supervising the accounting team, managing accounting processes, overseeing financial operations, preparing budgets and financial reports, and coordinating with external auditors. The role also involves managing grants, budgeting, expenses, and financial reporting for statewide initiatives.

The Director of Finance should be an expert in:

• Administrative and accounting procedures including grant compliance
• LASH Accounting Manual
• LASH personnel policies
• Legal Services Corporation regulations
• Industry best practices

Compensation: $77,405 to $97,396, commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401K with employer matching, life insurance, paid parental leave, paid time off, and more.
