We are growing our retail stores across Hawaii and are looking for an experienced and passionate individual to join us as our Director of Retail Operations.

Job Description

The Retail Operations Director is responsible for thedaily operationsof all Reyn Spooner retail stores. This position reports to the Vice President of Retail & Wholesale and works closely with our HR, Allocation, Merchandising and Marketing teams to ensure our stores look their best and have the products and people we need in each store to meet our monthly sales and profit targets.

The Retail Operations Director's responsibilities include:

• Driving retail channel profitability through operational excellence that supports top-line sales growth and staffing productivity.
• Managing labor expense against target for the retail stores. Review monthly staffing schedules with store managers to balance revenue and conversion goals with labor cost targets and SPH (sales per hour) goals, using weekly traffic statistics and sales conversion data.
• Monitoring retail store key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Leading our Retail Operations Team of three to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods into our stores, as well as the right presentation.
• Working with store managers to optimize processes around inventory shrinkage, RTV's and Inventory Counts.
• Continuously driving operational efficiency, developing new SOP's, updating existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and creating a standardized Retail Operations Manual to be used in all retail stores.
• Implementing and leveraging retail technologies to streamline operations and improve efficiency (e.g., POS systems, traffic analysis software, etc) and performance tracking.
• Preparing and delivering regular reports to senior management, assessing operational performance, issues, and improvement plans
• Providing operational support for new store openings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 10+ years of experience in multi-store retail operations with the proven ability to monitor inventory levels and drive operational excellence.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the apparel and fashion industry.
• Proficiency in analyzing performance metrics, such as sales data, KPIs, and other operational data to drive decision-making.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets, use advanced formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP and pivot tables), and analyze data to generate insights. Familiarity with DOMO, or similar business intelligence platforms, is a plus.
• Flexibility and resilience to thrive in a constantly changing environment, adapting to evolving retail trends, customer preferences, and business needs.
• The ability to train and inspire a diverse team.
• Willingness to travel between retail locations as needed.
