CSP Certified Site Safety Health Officer

Description:

We're actively seeking a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with previous SSHO and EM 385 experience to join an amazing team for a multi-year concrete dry dock construction project at high profile project in Honolulu, Hawaii. This will be a field position, and ideal candidates will have crane and rigging experience.

This position will be full-time for the duration of the project, with per diem provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and other applicable safety regulations.
  • Act as the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) for the project, ensuring all safety protocols are implemented and maintained.
  • Conduct regular site safety audits, inspections, and hazard analyses to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain Accident Prevention Plans (APPs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and other safety documentation as required.
  • Provide safety training, toolbox talks, and briefings to on-site personnel.
  • Investigate and document incidents, near misses, and safety violations, recommending corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and military personnel to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and reports in compliance with government and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess an active CSP Certified Safety Professional certification to be considered
  • Must demonstrate at least 10 years in construction safety
  • Must demonstrate previous SSHO and EM 385 experience
  • Must be able to pass a DBIDs background check
