Description:

OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation is seeking talented individuals committed to excellence, honesty, and integrity to join our team. We are a trusted provider of high-quality background investigations programs to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the intelligence community at locations throughout the United States. OMNIPLEX is seeking to fill immediate and upcoming openings for Contract Investigators.

A Contract Investigator works for us on an as-needed basis, with no guaranteed hours. We prefer Contractors to be available to work a minimum of ten hours per week where work is available. Successful candidates must be willing to travel within a 35-50 mile radius from the city location.

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct federal background investigations in compliance with all laws and federal agency regulations.
  2. Conduct in-person, one-on-one interviews to obtain factual information about individuals' backgrounds and character, following agency guidelines.
  3. Gather information from various sources to produce comprehensive investigation reports.
  4. Travel within the geographic area to conduct investigations at various locations such as employment, residence, and educational institutions.
  5. Maintain effective working relationships with managers, government organizations, and law enforcement agencies.
  6. Adapt to changing situations and interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  7. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and maintain a professional demeanor.
  8. Workload depends on case availability in the area.
  9. Possibility of voluntary, temporary assignments in other regions (typically 2-4 weeks).
  10. Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of three (3) years of investigation experience within the past ten (10) years at federal, state, or local levels.
  2. Experience conducting one-on-one interviews.
  3. Problem-solving skills and ability to handle variable situations.
  4. Ability to interpret instructions in various formats.
  5. Proficiency in reading and analyzing professional and governmental documents.
  6. Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  7. Proficiency with MS Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email.
  8. Current SSBI or active Secret security clearance based on SSBI.

Desired Experience and Education:

  1. Office of Personnel Management investigator training.
  2. Experience supporting government background investigations.
  3. Associate or Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
  4. Current Top Secret clearance.
