Our Project Managers and Engineers collaborate with local Hawaii-based small businesses to deliver challenging projects across the Pacific, with access to over 12,000 employees worldwide for specialized expertise.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead multi-discipline project design teams, including subconsultants, emphasizing quality and productivity.
  • Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of complex multidiscipline projects.
  • Prepare and review civil engineering scope of work and fee estimates for proposals.
  • Track and manage project budgets and scope of work.
  • Collaborate with operations and managers to review workload, status, and staffing.
  • Serve as Principal, Technical Manager, or Quality Control Reviewer on projects as appropriate.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, including new employee onboarding.
  • Establish performance and development goals with direct reports and conduct reviews.
  • Enhance staff skills through training and education.
  • Perform project engineering duties when necessary.
  • Work with Business Group Managers on pursuits, business development, and marketing activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Hawaii PE license or ability to obtain through reciprocity
  • Experience in civil engineering design, calculations, plans, and estimates
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent organizational, management, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Leadership, business development, and strategic planning experience
  • Minimum 15 years of civil engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam
  • PMP certification
  • Active membership in professional engineering organizations
  • Candidates in Oahu and Maui preferred; Kauai and Big Island candidates encouraged.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • At least 10 years of related experience
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience

Must hold a professional engineering license recognized in the position's location (e.g., PE or P.Eng).

  • Experience with MS Office and MS Project; Access experience a plus
  • Proven leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills
  • Active participation in our employee-owned culture is required
