One of Hawaii's largest healthcare companies is seeking a System Engineer to join their Server team. The ideal candidate should have experience in enterprise backup administration, VMware, and Linux. Preferred backup tools include Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, Cohesity, among others.

Job Summary / Responsibilities:

• Provide infrastructure support for systems of moderate complexity.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in data centers.
• Assist in developing best practices and solutions for infrastructure challenges.
• Serve as a Tier 1 escalation point for infrastructure issues.
• Collect data using performance and uptime monitoring tools.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, applications, and management tools.
• Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and service records.

Additional Skills: Veritas, VMware, Linux (Red Hat), Windows Server, PowerShell, Automation.

This position is initially fully onsite in Honolulu, HI, with potential to become hybrid. On-call rotation occurs every 3-4 weeks, with on-site work during on-call weeks. Parking is not included but can be subsidized at $110/month near Punchbowl campus.

Pay and Benefits:

The salary range is $80,000 - $104,000 per year.
