THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Quality Control & Environmental Energy Manager is responsible for ensuring that all contracted operations align with the objectives and policies of the Environmental Management System, the Installation Energy Plan, the Quality Management Plan, and other specified requirements impacting contracts.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Ensure all contracts adhere to the organization's Quality Management plan.
  • Assist in development and Implementation of a quality management system to ensure products and services consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Investigate quality issues and develop and oversee processes to review quality issues, understand causes, and communicate these to the organization to learn and improve.
  • Develop quality standards for inventory spot checks and quality control and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track quality performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • ·Collaborate with Management Team members to drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of quality excellence.
  • Supports the Safety Officer with oversight of the safety environment across the organization; conducting and supporting department training.
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures that comply with relevant regulations and industry standards and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Conduct and document regular safety drills, safety audits, and incident investigations to proactively identify hazards and prevent accidents or injuries across the organization.
  • Ensure operations adhere to the goals and policies of the Environmental Management System, the Installation Energy Plan, and other specified Sustainability requirements affecting any of our contracts.
  • Oversee waste management strategies, water and air quality management and control of chemical substances.
  • Monitor SDS (Safety Data Sheet) compliance and update information as needed.
  • Lead audits and environmental impact assessments; ensuring the company's environmental policies align with industry best practices.
  • Stay up to date with local, national, and international regulations pertaining to quality, health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Ensure the organization remains compliant with relevant regulations, maintain necessary certifications, and permits.
  • Perform other duties and special projects where required.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in environmental procedures, with familiarity in Environmental Management Systems (EMSs) and knowledge of environmental regulations, federal energy laws, and policies—including energy and water reduction mandates and renewable energy requirements. Practical experience in environmental management within the energy sector, including internships or prior job roles, may be substituted on a one-for-one basis for the required work experience, provided it exceeds one (1) year.
  • OSHA 30 Hour Safety Class Training Card (obtain on the job).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
  • Clearance/Certification: 1) TB clearance, 2) Criminal background check, 3) Pre-employment drug testing, 4) Child Protective Services/Adult Protective check, 5) Military Base access (obtain on the job).

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Service Contract Act (SCA) contracts.
  • Certification in relevant QHSE disciplines (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Certified Safety Professional, Six Sigma, Project Management Professional).
