Position: Construction Technician

Location: Honolulu, HI

Pay: $62,400/year

Experience: At least 2 years in carpentry or general construction.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking a Construction Technician to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Perform carpentry and repair tasks on residential and commercial projects.
• Install cabinetry, shelving, baseboards, window casing, trim, and fixtures.
• Complete drywall hanging, patching, taping, and various texturing techniques.
• Paint surfaces, match existing finishes, and conduct surface preparation.
• Reset electrical plates, baseboards, trim, and wall-mounted items.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Clean and maintain work areas and perform final walkthroughs.
• Use hand and power tools for general construction tasks.
• Travel to multiple job sites and complete work independently.
• Support other construction or repair duties as needed.
  
  

Position Requirements:

• Proficiency in hand and power tools used in carpentry and drywall repair.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of drywall and painting techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to match existing finishes.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
