The Climate Indicators and Sustainability Specialist will support an interdisciplinary effort to develop sustainability metrics and climate indicators for the Republic of the Marshall Islands. This position, situated within the University of Hawai'i Sea Grant College Program (Hawai'i Sea Grant), collaborates with partners including the the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) national government, the College of the Marshall Islands (CMI), and the Center for Island Sustainability and Sea Grant, Guam Green Growth at the University of Guam, to co-create a data-driven online Sustainability Dashboard modeled after the Aloha+ Challenge framework. The project promotes capacity building to track adaptation progress and supports regional access to adaptation funding.
