Dal-Tile Warehouse Associate Job Description

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Warehouse Associate to join our TEAM! As the Warehouse Associate, you will handle various material handling duties such as receiving, loading/unloading material, pulling/assembling customer orders, and performing inventory checks. This position involves the daily use of forklift equipment.

Compensation: Expected base pay rates will be between $19.27 and $24.48 per hour at the start of employment. The actual pay will be determined on an individual basis and may include additional compensation such as commissions, bonuses, incentives, and company-sponsored benefits.

Primary Objective

Perform a variety of material handling duties associated with the warehouse.

Major Functions and Scope

1. Perform warehouse duties including pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy, conducting inventory counts, restocking, labeling vendor products, maintaining displays, moving and replenishing materials, and conducting daily cycle counts.
2. Handle receiving duties such as unloading inbound shipments, processing shipments, stocking materials, processing returns, and reporting damaged shipments.
3. Operate forklift equipment safely.
4. Maintain a clean and organized facility through sweeping, trash removal, and general maintenance.
5. Assist customers and prepare sales slips as needed.
6. Follow safety protocols, report accidents and unsafe conditions to management.
7. Perform other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; Certified Forklift Operator.
• 3+ years of warehouse experience preferred.

Competencies

Basic math, organization, customer service skills, fluency in English, attention to detail, and safety awareness.

Additional Job Information

This role requires standing, reaching, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting, climbing, balancing, talking, and hearing. Lifting up to 15-30 lbs regularly, and up to 70 lbs with team lift. Longer or heavier loads require team lifting. Vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.
