Qualifications:

  • A master's degree is required. Foreign equivalent degree from a nationally accredited institution accepted.
  • As an educational institution affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Church), BYU–Hawaii prefers to hire qualified members of the Church in good standing, as authorized under 41 C.F.R. § 60-1.5 (a)(6). To be eligible for employment, applicants who are members of the Church must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend and receive a clearance from the Church's Ecclesiastical Clearance Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching requirement is 7 semester courses (or 21 credit hours) over two semesters (winter & spring 2026) in some (but not all) of the following subject areas/courses:

Risk management, Business Finance, Investments.

  • BYU-Hawaii's primary focus is undergraduate learning and teaching. The individual should be fully committed to the university's mission () and learning framework (

Benefits:

  • Salary range (two-semester contract): 61K to 74K, depending on credentials, academic rank and experience.
  • Non-CFS, visiting faculty position NOT eligible for Continuing Faculty Status (BYU–H equivalent of “tenure-track”).
  • BYU–Hawaii health benefits for full-time employees.
  • Eligible for renting BYU-Hawaii housing if units are available.
