Job Summary
Supervises and participates in the work of one or more custodial crews which provide custodial services necessary to maintain the university facility in a clean and orderly condition for effective use by students, faculty, staff, and the public. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to, performing various cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, carpet cleaning, window washing, restroom cleaning, floor scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors, etc. Performing and coordinating event setups and breakdowns. Attending and holding team staff meetings. Training employees in all responsibilities and safety procedures. Participating in hiring employees. Performing routine cleaning inspections of assigned area. Utilizing computer and mobile device software to carry out the work such as monitoring and closing work orders, coordinating for events, performing inspections, documenting equipment and supplies inventory, sending and receiving emails, team communication, submitting work order repair requests, approving employee time records, etc. Overseeing project work performed by their team or by vendor outsourcing. Providing regular progress reports to management. May be required to work weekends and be on an on-call schedule for emergencies.

Work Experience
Two years of full-time paid custodial experience or 4 years of part-time custodial supervision. Custodial certifications are a plus.
