If needed, prepares donations receipts at house pick-ups or miscellaneous deliveries. Identifies unusable material (UM) and advises donors of alternative means for pick up. Loads and unloads vehicle by using a hand truck or dolly. Responsible for safely operating the lift gate when up-loading and down-loading cargo. Coordinates load movements with the truck helper and other crew. Loads vehicle, distributes weight evenly, forms compact load, organizes assorted donations and effectively utilizes space. Positions pads, stacks and secures items on truck to prevent damage to goods and positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit. Completes and maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
