Overview

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests.

Responsibilities

  1. Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards.
  2. Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart setup.
  3. Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways.
  4. Keep hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat, and vacuumed.
  5. Restock housekeeping cleaning carts for the next day.
  6. Replenish chemical bottles.
  7. Report missing items from rooms (e.g., irons/boards, hair dryers) to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
  8. Report maintenance issues immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
  9. Handle Lost and Found items according to standards.
  10. Ensure guest satisfaction at all times.

Qualifications
  1. High School diploma or equivalent; experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  2. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
  3. Ability to stand for the entire shift.
  4. Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff and guests in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
