Pay:
$20.00 per hour
Job Summary:
Warehouse workers receive and coordinate the distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products. Responsibilities include unloading and loading shipments, maintaining inventory, ensuring a clean and efficient warehouse, and delivering products to customers as needed.
Essential Duties:
- Read customer, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Receive shipments by processing paperwork, checking contents, and moving materials using forklifts, hand trucks, or carts.
- Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Compile worksheets or tickets based on customer specifications.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and prepare for shipping or storage.
- Mark materials with identifying information.
- Record received or distributed materials and maintain inventory records.
- Weigh or count items for distribution to ensure standards are met.
- Use computers to enter records and prepare worksheets or tickets.
- Perform daily cycle counts and identify inventory adjustments.
- Attend safety training and comply with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and report larger repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education:
- High School diploma or GED, with 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and memos.
- Basic math skills, including measurements and conversions.
- Forklift certification may be required depending on branch.
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
