Job Details

The Steward/Utility worker will maintain a high level of standard and cleanliness by washing all dishes, silverware, and supplies. The dishwasher must be able to perform duties with minimum supervision.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Clean, wash, and sanitize all dishes; clean kitchen after close.
• Perform daily cleaning to include dry storage, walk-in shelving, prep tables, kitchen floors, and common areas.
• Empty rubbish cans as required.
• Store all dishes and other wares in proper areas.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Perform other duties as required, including food runner for banquet events.

Working Conditions:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is often required to stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, and bend for a minimum of five hours at a time without sitting.
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionally.
• Noise level is moderate to loud.
• Work extended hours during golf and holiday season.
• Work weekends and holidays.
