Currently seeking an Information Assurance (IA) professional to fill a position with a leader in Information Technology in Pearl City, Hawaii. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree and be passionate about information technology work.

Responsibilities of the Information Assurance (IA) Specialist

• Monitor, evaluate, and review threat activity.
• Coordinate and provide guidance, assistance, and recommended courses of action to ensure compliance with policies for threat mitigation and incident handling.
• Support the design, development, and coordination of relationships and solutions to resolve problems within the specialty area.
• Analyze security requirements to determine if they meet security policies.
• Perform risk analyses, including risk assessments, analysis of systems, programs, or planning activities.
• Gather, organize, and document technical information about an organization's mission, goals, and needs.
• Work directly with clients to identify ways to improve data collection, data quality, and analysis.
• Perform all other IA duties as needed.

Requirements of the Information Assurance (IA) Specialist

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum 1 year of Windows Server experience with 3 years of Windows Server 2008 and/or 2012 server administration and operating system and software application installation and configuration
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated analyzing skills
• Minimum 3 years of experience with analyzing and resolving problems associated with hardware, operating system, and application software on a Windows Server Environment
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Security Compliance utilizing Information Assurance Support Environment - Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), generating reports, and working with checklists then resolving identified issues by patching etc.
• Experience with Adobe ColdFusion application server and Oracle database
• Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
• Secret Security Clearance or eligible for one
• IAT Level 2 certification (for example Security+)
