Our Retail Team

Join our committed Retail Team at The Salvation Army! Help us serve and impact our community through our Honolulu Thrift Store, supporting the Adult Rehabilitation Program. Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors warmly, providing prompt and courteous assistance.
• Stock and merchandise items on the sales floor.
• Maintain a clean, organized store and donation area.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies and procedures.
• Ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock inventory accurately.
• Inspect products for defects and damages.
• Assist donors with removing items and issuing receipts.
• Sort and stack donated materials as instructed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate POS/Cash Register accurately
• Background check clearance (including criminal and sex offender registry)
• Effective communication skills

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects, including carts and fixtures.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive motions as required.

Schedule

Stores operate 7 days/week. Schedules are flexible, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as determined by management.
