To receive all incoming goods, pulling orders for distribution, and the general up-keep of the warehouse areas to assure safe and efficient operation of the Community Clearinghouse warehouse.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Receives all incoming goods, which may include the unloading of donor vehicles. Checks packing slip to ensure items are accounted for and submits packing slip to Program Coordinator or Program Manager.
Organizes donated goods and items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type or order.
Organizes and maintains inventory of donated goods in warehouse to ensure safe storage and easy access to items. Identifies unusable or excess inventory in warehouse and inform Program Coordinator or Program Manager that these items can be distributed to other service providers whose clients can benefit for free.
Works with Driver and Warehouse Worker in identifying and clearing unusable damaged items.
Organizes and maintains cleanliness of food pantry. Storing food items in a first in, first out basis and discarding any expired and/or damaged food items. Assembles food kits according to chart to distribute for clients and emergency walk-ins.
Manage client appointments and emergency walk-ins including scheduling, check-ins, and check-out of appointments which will also include ensuring that items from the Community Clearinghouse are properly secured onto client's vehicle.
Assists clients in pulling good(s)/items from the Community Clearinghouse for clients to load onto their vehicle.
Records and logs number of materials or items received or distributed to clients. Ensures that all necessary paperwork is signed and dated at the time the client checks in/out for their appointment.
Informs Program Coordinator or Program Manager of any client and donor feedback, including accidents or positive outcomes.
Works with Program Coordinator and Program Manager in training and overseeing warehouse volunteers to assist with warehouse activities.
Assists the Driver with donation pick-ups as needed or directed by the Program Coordinator or Program Manager.
Drives the company vehicles to assist in smaller item donation pick-ups as needed or directed by the Program Coordinator or Program Manager.
Assists in the warehouse office as needed.
Performs in non-technical work in installation and repair of equipment and facilities.
Performs preventative maintenance on a variety of tasks, including weekly flushing of property pipes.
Performs a variety of carpentry duties, including building, installing, and repairing screens, shelves, and walls.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
One (1) year of experience in warehouse operations and/or related field.
Working knowledge of computer software programs (i.e. Excel and Word).
Valid Drivers License and willingness to use properly insured vehicle.
Must comply with company code of ethics, confidentiality practices, HIPAA, safety and all other policies and procedures.
