Reports to: Operations Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Rate: $29.50 - $31.50

1. Job Purpose/Objective:

The Bilingual Driver is responsible for ensuring drivers operate in a safe and timely manner, providing service to all partners and guests. This position is also responsible for ensuring all vehicles are clean and well presented at all times and that service meets the standards set forth by the Company.

2. Essential Job Functions

Incumbent may perform any or all of the following:

  • Obtain appropriate documents to meet DOT regulations and ensure documents remain current to maintain driver's eligibility.
  • Perform duties of a Driver with professionalism and courtesy, greeting customers with “Aloha” and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Daily tasks include:
    • Providing customer service as learned in the company training.
    • Calling in daily for start time for work the day before.
    • Performing a systematic and thorough pre-trip inspection of the vehicle to be driven – completing a Driver's Inspection Report.
    • Inspecting the vehicle and completing a checklist; reporting any problems to maintenance immediately.
    • Fueling (and recording fuel usage) and washing of company equipment when necessary.
    • Notifying Dispatch Operations of any changes in trip route or schedule, and receiving prior authorization from Dispatch Operations for planned deviations.
    • Cleaning and properly maintaining uniform and required IDs to be worn at all times during the shift.
  • On Run tasks include:
    • Assisting passengers needing special assistance and securing wheelchairs.
    • Picking up and dropping off passengers in an orderly and efficient manner.
    • Labeling and loading luggage according to destination as needed.
    • Reporting counts, changes, and destination to Dispatcher.
    • Performing tour and/or transportation to and from destinations.
    • Keeping accurate passenger counts.
  • After Run tasks include:
    • Conducting post-trip inspection.
    • Refueling the vehicle.
    • Cleaning the exterior and interior of the vehicle.
  • Filling out a Vehicle Accident Report and following company policies in the event of an accident.
  • Completing trip sheets for each assigned movement and turning in paperwork.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

3. Working Conditions/Job Environment

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for sustained periods of time.
  • Medium work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
  • Stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods of time.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word; must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound.
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform activities such as operating and repairing machines/equipment.
  • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: activities occur inside and outside.
  • The worker is subject to hazards: includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts and moving vehicles.
  • Some remote work may be necessary.

4. Supervision

This position does not supervise other employees.

5. Essential Skills - Minimum qualifications which include, but are not limited to:

  • Minimum age of 21 years old.
  • Knowledge of local streets and hotel locations.
  • Able to read, speak, and understand English.
  • Ensure that all documentation as required by DOT is current and valid.
  • Ability to perform simple math functions – counting, adding, subtracting.
  • Position requires working under deadlines and pressure.
  • Requires expertise in dealing with people and situations involving complex issues.
  • Meets all team deadlines and responsibilities.
