Position Function:

The Senior Analyst plays a critical role in driving financial insight and strategic decision-making by delivering high-quality analysis, budgeting, and reporting to support the Bank's financial goals.

Performs all duties and interacts with internal and external customers in a manner that is aligned with the Company's Core Values of approaching all actions with a “Voyaging Spirit” and being “Positively Ohana”. Primary Accountabilities:

Data Processing and Profitability Reporting:

  • Support profitability system through data processing and system updates.
  • Develop and maintain robust profitability models at the line-of-business, customer, and product levels to support strategic decision-making.
  • Proactively interface with all levels of management to ensure they understand profitability methodologies and assumptions.

Budget and Business Partner Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze budget-to-actual and forecast reports, including detailed variance analysis for ALCO, Board, and executive management.
  • Assist with monthly variance reporting to document explanations of significant variances.

Annual Budget Process:

  • Facilitate budget planning sessions with business and support unit leaders, providing guidance and analytical support.
  • Aggregate and validate financial data inputs, including loans, deposits, and other key balance sheet and income statement items.
  • Prepare reports that summarize and analyze results for reasonableness.

Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and analyze various reports as requested from management.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial performance through revenue growth, cost optimization, or process efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year university, preferably in Finance or Accounting.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in financial/budget analysis and reporting with familiarity in accounting principles and budgeting process.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files, and papers up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer, and other work-related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
  • Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
  • Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
