JOB SUMMARY: The Supply Coordinator serves as the primary person responsible for ordering Medline supplies. This position will work with each field office collecting orders and re-orders from case managers and supervisors. The Supply Coordinator will serve as a back-up contact for all external and internal referrals and requests for information regarding hospice services.

Required Education & Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have experience in a healthcare related customer service position, two (2) years preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Must have a general knowledge of medical records, office procedures and office equipment
  • Must show aptitude of computer data entry and the use of current software systems, such as word processing, spreadsheets and projects
  • Must have the ability to meet the public and staff as a positive, friendly and professional representative of the organization

  • Must be flexible in work hours

Work Environment

  • Must comply with company policies, procedures and processes in addition to Hospice and Homecare rules and regulations
  • Must be dependable and flexible in work schedule
  • Must comply with harassment and discrimination policies
  • Must foster good working relationships
  • Must be able to speak and write in English
  • Must be a licensed driver with licensed automobile that is insured in accordance with organization/state requirements and is in good working order
  • Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check prior to hire and annually thereafter

Physical Environment

  • Must be able to read and follow instructions, as required
  • Must be able to see and hear with/without accommodations
  • Requires consistent wrist movement
  • Requires sitting for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and climb
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. without assistance and up to 50 lbs. with assistance
  • Must be willing to participate in a drug/alcohol screen prior to hire, if involved in a work-related automobile accident or if reasonable suspicion is reported
