Job Description

Provide counseling to students, including Hawaiian Immersion students; teach during rotations; oversee 504 students; and perform other duties as assigned by the administrator.

Minimum Qualifications

The Hawaii State Department of Education seeks highly qualified teachers. The minimum qualification for teacher, librarian, or counselor positions is a Bachelor's Degree, except for designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) roles. If hired without a completed Teacher's Education Program, you have up to 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license, with active pursuit demonstrated annually.
