Essential Functions

1. Assist in ensuring beverage sales targets for bars, lounges, and restaurants on the ship are met and exceeded, including Buffet, Atrium Café, Main Dining Room, and Mess areas.
2. Assist in achieving guest satisfaction targets related to beverage service and product quality.
3. Strive to meet the target cost of sales as per company budgets.
4. Ensure compliance with all company beverage service standards and sequences of service by staff.
5. Ensure department compliance with all company policies, rules, and regulations.
6. Proactively resolve service and product deficiencies; follow up on guest comments and concerns.
7. Ensure staff and operation follow all Public Health rules and regulations.
8. Maintain and safeguard records, reports, and documents related to staff and operations.
9. Participate in ongoing staff training using company-approved materials.
10. Manage maintenance requests and ensure equipment and furniture meet safety standards.
11. Control and document breakages, equipment abuse, and negligent behavior regarding company property.
12. Assist in managing departmental budgets, expenses, salaries, and staffing.
13. Perform other duties as assigned, including duties logically related to the position.
14. Familiar with Safety and Environmental policies, and adhere to procedures.

Qualifications

Experience and Education:

• Minimum two years' experience as a Bar Manager in a multi-outlet operation or previous shipboard experience in the same role.
• At least one year managerial experience handling multiple bars and lounges.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse, multinational team.
• Experience meeting revenue targets and maintaining high service standards.
• Extensive knowledge of beverage and wine products.
• Effective communication skills in English; additional languages preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, IBM AS400, Fidelio, Micros.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; hospitality-related degree preferred.
• Safety, environmental, health, and sanitation courses from recognized institutions.
• Court of Master Sommeliers Entry Level or BarMarts Advanced Course certification required.

Physical Requirements

Must meet USCG and international standards, including physical abilities to perform duties such as lifting, climbing, moving in restricted spaces, and reacting to alarms, as well as vision and sensory requirements. Specific health and physical criteria apply, including BMI and blood pressure limits.
