Salary information: Minimum for Academic Year 2025-2026, $1,911 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.

Other Conditions:

  • For lecturer applicant pool, part-time, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements.
  • Must be available to teach courses online and in person, either during the day, evening, or weekend.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Co-teach (with a Korean Language instructor) assigned courses in K-Pop dance, in the style of modern K-Pop groups like BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE or NCT127.
  • Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
  • Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  • Work under supervision of the division chair in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area.
  • As needed, work with multimedia presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.
  • High proficiency in English.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience teaching K-Pop dance classes.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • College teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of K-Pop terminology, trends, groups, and conventions.
  • Ability to speak conversational intermediate level or higher Korean.
  • Ability to teach singing in Korean.
