Join to apply for the Field Engineer role at ORION This position is an entry-level role responsible for providing field engineering project support to Orion. Responsibilities include inspecting project materials, providing work control guidelines for accurate measurement and installation, and working closely with project management and craft personnel to ensure successful project completion and closeout.The incumbent must support Orion's core values of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Teamwork, grounded in Integrity.Specific Responsibilities Collaborate with the Project Management Team and jobsite crews to ensure project success.Assist in developing bid proposals for marine construction projects.Estimate project costs, including materials, labor, and services.Perform drafting, graphical work, and interpret project plans and specifications.Coordinate procurement and inventory checks of materials.Provide work control lines, elevations, and survey data for accurate installation and measurement.Ensure safety practices are followed and participate in safety and environmental initiatives.Employee Safety and Compliance Maintain personal safety and ensure coworker safety.Stop work if unsafe conditions are observed.Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.Report violations promptly.Perform related administrative and technical duties as assigned.Position Requirements B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Prior marine construction experience is preferred but not required. Must have knowledge of project management, materials procurement, safety, and environmental standards. Effective communication skills and the ability to learn quickly are essential.Physical/Mental Requirements Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodations, wear PPE, and respond calmly in emergencies.
