Position Description Are you an Information Systems Security Officer looking for a place to make an impact every day? Serco has a place for you!Serco, in conjunction with the newly formed United States Space Force (USSF), is responsible for tracking all man-made objects in orbit. Join the team that provides this vital service to the United States.This mission is crucial for satellite safety and providing critical information for launching new satellites. One of the assets USSF uses is the Ground-based Electro Optical Deep Space Surveillance (GEODSS) System, employed at three locations worldwide (White Sands Missile Range, NM; Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory; and Maui, HI) to track deep space objects (10,000 to 45,000 km altitude).In this role, you will: Provide high-level expertise on technical security, including cybersecurity, to internal and external customers.Develop or modify complex security requirements, processes, architectures, mechanisms, or validation activities to enhance enterprise security.Perform computer security assessments, implement countermeasures, and maintain a site mission system and network cybersecurity program.Protect information systems' availability, integrity, confidentiality, and authentication through cybersecurity measures.Secure operating systems, peripherals, applications, and data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or modification.Ensure all users and ISSOs receive COMPUSEC training.Update system Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages.Review TEMPEST packages and document updates.Oversee construction of SCI facilities (SCIF) per design and security requirements.Establish and manage SCI security programs as needed.Manage daily operations of the SCIF and SCI security programs.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will have:An active DoD Secret security clearance.A high school diploma or GED.At least 5 years of related experience.Extensive knowledge of the USSF SCIF Managers Handbook (DoDM 5105.21).DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.Experience with Microsoft Windows OS, RedHat Linux, and Tru64 UNIX.Additional desired experience and skills include:An advanced degree.Industry-recognized certifications.Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.The salary range for this role is $131,293 to $227,532, depending on experience, education, and skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
