Organizational Development and Effectiveness Consultant I

Pay range: $75,000 to $90,000 annual

Position Summary Description:

The Organizational Development and Effectiveness Consultant I plays a key role in enhancing the company's human capital and supporting to improve enterprise-wide performance through strategic collaboration with various leadership and teams. The ODE Consultant I collaborates with the ODE team to design, create and deliver strategic people strategies in various OD and OE disciplines including but not limited to: Corporate Training, Leadership Development, Career Pathways, Succession Planning, Employee Engagement, Change Management, Training Community of Practice. At the ODE Consultant I level, they are expected to support at least 2 programs. The size and complexity of the program will be considered to properly assess workload for program assignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the ODE team to create and deliver strategic people strategies and programs.

  1. Support leadership development through curriculum design, training facilitation, and coaching sessions, ensuring they are aligned with organizational goals and tailored to meet the needs of leaders at all levels.

  1. Co-develop and co-implement retention strategies to enhance employee engagement and experience. Assess the effectiveness of the people initiatives through on-the-job evaluations and provide recommendations for improvement for various stakeholders across the organization.

  1. Work closely with ODE Consultant II to research, propose, co-develop and evaluate leadership development programs.

  1. Support organizational development initiatives by assisting and contributing to the end-to-end planning, development, execution, and delivery of programs. Manage and coordinate program schedules, draft and distribute communications, and track key milestones and success metrics to ensure program effectiveness and alignment with strategic goals.

  1. Deliver intensive 1:1 or small group coaching and development sessions to various leaders, providing personalized guidance and support to elevate their leadership impact, decision-making abilities, and enhance overall effectiveness.

  1. Partner with the ODE team to enhance the quality and effectiveness of training videos, infographics and other modalities of learning.

  1. Collaborate with other ODE team members on various ODE programs, initiatives and projects to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.

  1. Assist in reviewing and analyzing organizational data to identify trends and areas of improvement. Help prepare reports and presentations under ODE Consultant II and/or ODE Director's direction to inform ODE's value, decision-making, and strategy development.

  1. Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging theories in organizational development. Take part in providing recommendations on new approaches and tools to enhance organizational development and effectiveness.

  1. Perform similar and related duties as assigned by ODE Consultant II, supervisor and/or Director of ODE.

  1. Use the Company's Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of work experience in a corporate and team environment, such as experience in one or multiple areas: training programs, employee engagement, process improvement, or process mapping.
  • 2+ years of work experience leading cross-functional initiatives or programs with enterprise-wide impact.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience developing and delivering training both in virtual and in-person settings
  • Comfortable facilitating coaching sessions in both group and one-on-one settings.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a warehouse environment and familiarity with its culture.
  • Familiarity with learning technologies (e.g. LMS platforms, eLearning authoring tools).
  • Experience working in multi-site or enterprise-level environments with diverse operational teams.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI).
